Rabbi Dovid Bender, a talmid of Yeshiva Darchei Torah, the Mesivta of Long Beach, Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim, and Beth Medrash Govoha in Lakewood, joined the faculty of Yeshiva Darchei Torah as a sho’el umeishiv at Beis Medrash Heichal Dovid in 2001 and is today the rosh kollel of its Kollel Tirtza Devorah, a position he assumed upon the Kollel’s founding in 2005.

He received shimush in hora’ah from Hagaon Rav Gavriel Finkel zt”l of Lakewood. He serves as a posek for the scholars of the Kollel and their families, and countless residents of the Far Rockaway/Five Towns community and beyond.

He is currently a member of the rabbinic board of the Vaad Hakashrus of the Five Towns and Far Rockaway.
